From Chapter 32:
I’m sitting in the fog. Literally. I’m on top of a mountain, completely socked-in with fog, writing at a picnic table. And it’s raining. Fortunately it’s a covered picnic table.
I don’t know when the rain will stop. But I know it will.
I don’t know when the fog will lift. But I know it will.
I don’t know when the sun will come out and the skies will be blue again. But I know it will happen.
I can’t do a thing about any of these things. The rain, the fog, the sunshine and the blue skies are all in God’s hands. And so am I.

Enjoyed the snippet! Yes, I’ve often felt that way, and it’s only as you grow older that you really come to feel through your bones, that yes, the fog will lift, the sunshine will come back…Takes a boomer’s experience to feel that way! And love your picture too!

As far as the visuals, I realized after the 1st Boomer Lit Friday that I had to beef up my blog with photos. i even went back and added some photos to previous blogs and I think the effort was worth it. I’ve learned to enjoy rain and fog, which is lucky since I live in the Seattle area! Your excerpt creates a calm and peaceful mood and the photo enhances that. Nicely written.
